WHAT IF A TOUR IS CANCELLED?

So far, we haven’t had to cancel any online tours.

On rare occasions, we must cancel our local food tour (a pipe bursting in the Mercato, severe snow storm, or other serious logistical problem may cause a cancellation).

If we were to cancel one, we would do so in advance and offer a full refund (or an alternate tour date for guests who want to rebook).

It is very important that guests furnish a phone number or the name of their hotel, in case we need to contact you for any such reason.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR GREEN PASSES AND VACCINATION RECORDS:

As of August 6, 2021, Italy requires individuals to carry a Green Pass or similar options, in order to dine indoors and to attend museums and some other venues. Please follow this link for up to date regulations. By booking a tour with us, you assume responsibility for carrying proper documentation at all times. We cannot refund a tour or experience due to a guest failing to provide required documentation.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES?

We’re living in crazy times right now, so we’ve learned to keep things flexible.

ONLINE TOURS:

Guests can exchange an unused online tour for a different date, or opt to keep the credit and use it on a future tour in person.

In order to exchange for a credit, cancellations must be made no less than 72 hours before the online tour.

If a cancellation is made 2 weeks or more before an online tour, 85% will be refunded. (15% is kept as a fee to cover card commissions and clerical work required).

LOCAL TOURS:

Guests can exchange an unused tour for a different date, or opt to keep the credit and use it on a future tour.

In order to exchange for a credit, cancellations must be made no less than 72 hours before the tour.

If a cancellation is made 2 weeks or more before a tour, 80% will be refunded. (20% is kept as a fee to cover card commissions and clerical work required).

PRIVATE TOURS:

For the remainder of 2021, we will only be offering private tours for groups of 2 or more people who are already traveling together (like families, couples, or small groups of friends).

A deposit is requested prior to the tour in order to secure your booking and private guide.

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the tour date will incur a small fee (20% of the deposit). 80% will be reimbursed. The reason for this fee is to cover office staff and card/paypal fees. (or, guests can opt for a full voucher option if preferred- see below)

Cancellations made 6 or less days before the tour date will forfeit the deposit, but a credit will be issued if the cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the tour begins. This credit will be in the form of a voucher, which can be used any time in the following 24 months and can be given to someone else for use if you cannot come to Florence in the next 24 months.

Guests can exchange an unused private tour for a different date, or opt to keep the credit and use it on a future tour.

CAN VEGETARIANS OR CELIACS JOIN A TOUR?

We frequently host guests with special requests, and welcome vegetarians and vegans to join in!

Any guest with food preferences, or allergies or intolerances is responsible for communicating this information in advance to Taste Florence so we can best prepare your tastings. TF takes every precaution to order said tastings through our venues. However, TF cannot be held liable for discrepancies made by the venues we visit for tastings.

Any guest with mortal food allergies is required to carry proper medication with them. By reserving tickets with Taste Florence, the guest agrees to carry proper medication at all times while in the company of TF. By reserving tickets, guest agrees that we cannot be held liable for discrepancies made by the venues we visit for tastings.

WHERE IS YOUR MEETING POINT?

Our meeting points are in centrally located areas of the city. We provide a photo of our meeting points and an address, upon reservation confirmation.

When in doubt, call or WhatsApp us, or email us if you are unsure about your meeting point.

I'M STAYING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE. SHOULD I DRIVE INTO TOWN?

Whenever possible, we recommend taking a train or bus into the city. Parking is limited and expensive and most cars are not allowed to drive or park in the city center and often get ticketed. Trains and buses arrive at the central station (Stazione Firenze Santa Maria Novella), which is a 10-15 minute walk to our meeting points.
